Always looking to experiment and play, Lou loves to make new work even if it’s not paid. The freedom that comes from discovering possibilities, taking risks and testing out ideas is worth the time and expense, even if those efforts don’t produce the results she wants first time. Nothing is ever wasted. She uses colour, poetry, art, film and dance as starting points for her projects, believing that nothing is truly “new” but that we are all endlessly feeding off one another and recycling what we have seen and heard to make and recreate. From jellies to cake, still life to simply exploring colour and texture, Lou loves leading and being part of a creative team.
